From the Ground Up
Monday, May 24, 2010 at 01:34AM A step-by-step look at how to build a fully-functional studio in six days.
First, you find yourself a nice, empty space and buy a lot of wood. Seriously, as much as you can fit into your pick-up.
Convince your dad and Uncle Mike that its a good idea to drive across the state to work for the weekend.

Con your friends into helping. Oh, and be ready to drink a lot of beer.
Build a floor and some walls.
Nail them all together.
Fill it all with insulation.
Throw up some sheet rock.
Con more friends into helping (remember, lots of beer).
Mud and tape.
Primer the walls and hang the door.
Lay down some carpet tiles (More friends).
Paint the walls to your liking.
Throws up a little molding for contrast.
Next thing you know...
you've got your own...
little slice of heaven.
Endless thanks to my friends and family who helped make this happen.
